TIMOTHY B. HYLAND, ESQUIRE

Timothy B. Hyland divides his practice between business and civil litigation. Mr. Hyland's clients appreciate his ability to not only handle legal disputes but also provide sound business advice due to his integration and familiarity with their businesses. His business experience broadens his value with clients.

Mr. Hyland has lectured on Real Estate Litigation for the National Business Institute and authored a book entitled Boundary Law in Virginia, published in 2000. He also won several landmark cases, including Davis v. Holsten, which set standards for evaluation of escrow agreements. In addition, Mr. Hyland was counsel in Network Solutions, Inc. v. Umbro International, Inc. in which the Virginia Supreme Court determined that domain names are not considered property.

An attorney with nearly 20 years experience, Mr. Hyland practiced at a mid-sized Virginia law firm for four years and was a partner in a smaller firm from 1996-2008. He received a B.A. degree and a J.D. degree from University of Richmond.
